Mr. Green Grass carries out a specialist Lawn Care Programme, which is based on four stages. Planned in advance, it will provide it with optimal nutrition and weed control. To achieve this goal, we use the best technologies and care products. A regional expert from Mr. Green Grass will adapt the procedure to the requirements of your lawn.
What does the four-stage care programme look like? We visit your garden regularly approximately every 8 weeks to provide your lawn with the correct nutrition, at the right time and in a controlled manner. The programme contains a perfectly balanced formula, ensuring proper lawn feeding for your lawn throughout the year. Care methods will be tailored to individual needs, based on a professional lawn analysis performed by our specialist.
Spring care
1st visit: from March to May
During the first spring visit, we apply a unique, homogeneous granular fertiliser specially adapted to lower temperatures, acting for approx. 8 weeks. Additionally, we use liquid fertilisers to strengthen resistance – this allows for a green lawn colour much earlier than when using only granular fertilisers. In the case of a weedy lawn, we use a low-temperature weed killer spray. In this way, we get rid of weeds such as daisies, dandelions, clovers and others. If your lawn is struggling with moss, Pests & Diseases – we will deal with those problems too!
During the spring care period, we additionally suggest: scarification, aeration, overseeding and top dressing. These treatments aim to regenerate the lawn after winter.
Early summer care
2nd visit: from June to July
During the second visit to your garden, we apply granular fertiliser and foliar feeding, nourishing the lawn for the next 2 months. We also focus on the slow growth and density of your lawn and conduct an analysis of weeds appearing during the summer period. A wonderful, lush grass colour is achieved through the use of preparations with iron and other micronutrients, which have a protective and strengthening effect.
Upon request, we perform additional treatments to store water in the soil. For this purpose, we use a Wetting Agent, which is a product that stimulates water penetration and storage. Additionally, we can offer a growth regulator. This product will slow down the vertical growth of the lawn, so you will save time spent on mowing the grass.
Late summer care
3rd visit: from August to September
We continue the comprehensive lawn care programme to ensure proper nutrition for the next 8-10 weeks. At the same time, we offer protection against certain lawn diseases such as: red thread, rust, fusarium, mould or slime mould. What is more, we combat moss in the lawn, which may appear after a warm and humid season. During this period, we additionally suggest scarification, aeration, overseeding and top dressing with sand.
Autumn care
4th visit: from September to November
In the final stage, we apply a special autumn lawn feed. The care focuses on solving seasonal problems, also including the prevention of moss development. This stage perfectly prepares the lawn for the approaching winter, guaranteeing its healthy and beautiful appearance in early spring. The products used during autumn care will ensure your lawn remains green during winter as well. During this period, if necessary, we additionally offer liming.
