New Lawn Feed – Perfect Start – Mr. Green Grass®

New Lawn Feed – Perfect Start – Mr. Green Grass® is an innovative formula created to provide young lawns with optimal conditions for rapid rooting and growth. The active ingredients contained within it, precisely selected for the needs of newly established turf, support strong and healthy root development as well as an even green colour from the first weeks. Its unique composition accelerates regeneration and strengthens the grass structure, whilst also increasing resistance to early challenges such as diseases, weeds, or adverse weather conditions.

Without comprehensive support, young grass may not survive the critical adaptation period, which can lead to yellowing, thinning, or even the death of plants. By establishing a lawn using New Lawn Feed – Perfect Start – Mr. Green Grass®, you will provide your lawn with a strong foundation for long-term health and lushness, avoiding common problems that often end in frustration and unnecessary costs.

The factors determining the release rate of a constant dose of the substance are precisely defined soil moisture and temperature. Other factors such as pH, EC or microbiological activity of the soil have no impact on the process. The technology is based on a polymer coating containing nutrients inside. Water, present in the soil, penetrates through the semi-permeable coating into the granule, then dissolves and releases the enclosed contents. Once the entire supply is exhausted, the empty coating undergoes biodegradation in the soil.

During lawn establishment, traditional fertilisers often fail, as their ingredients are quickly eliminated from the soil, precisely when the young grass needs them most. Thanks to New Lawn Feed – Perfect Start – Mr. Green Grass® and its Enhanced GRF technology, this risk is minimised, and your lawn receives everything it needs for a strong start and intensive growth, securing the investment in a beautiful, green carpet.

Application

New Lawn Feed – Perfect Start – Mr. Green Grass® is step zero in the process of creating a new lawn. Apply it as a one-off from April to September, ideally on the day of sowing the seeds.

Spread it evenly with a rotary spreader at a rate of 3–4 kg per 100 m² (30–40 g/m²). Note: Never spread lawn feed by hand, as this will cause uneven growth or damage to the seeds.

After application, water the future lawn generously and maintain constant moisture for 20 days. Remember that some granules will remain visible and will gradually release nutrients. After 8 weeks, move on to regular seasonal care and apply a Mr. Green Grass® lawn feed suitable for the season.

Frequently asked questions

Should the lawn feed be applied before or after sowing the seed?

You will achieve the best results by using New Lawn Feed – Perfect Start – Mr. Green Grass® directly before sowing seeds, mixing the granules with the top layer of soil to a depth of approximately 5 cm. This allows the nutrients to be placed exactly where the first roots of the young grass will develop. However, if the lawn has already been sown, you can spread the lawn feed on the surface, ensuring it is watered immediately and abundantly.

What weather conditions are most favourable when establishing a lawn with this New Lawn Feed – Perfect Start – Mr. Green Grass®?

The ideal time for establishing a lawn and applying fertiliser is during periods of moderate temperature (15-20°C) and high humidity, typical of spring and early autumn. Avoid lawn establishment during heatwaves, as high temperatures can dry out delicate sprouts before the fertiliser can support them. If heavy rain is forecast, delay the work to avoid seeds and granules being washed away from the prepared substrate.

After applying the lawn feed and sowing the grass seed, do I need to water the area every day?

Yes, maintaining consistent soil moisture is critical for the Enhanced GRF technology to activate the release of ingredients and for the seeds to germinate. For the first 2-3 weeks, the soil should be kept constantly moist but not waterlogged – it is best to apply short spells of sprinkling several times a day. Adequate hydration ensures that young roots immediately encounter a dose of energy from the lawn feed, which will drastically accelerate its growth.

Can I use this new lawn feed – perfect start – Mr. Green Grass® in autumn when establishing a lawn, or is it only for spring?

New Lawn Feed – Perfect Start – Mr. Green Grass® works perfectly during both of these seasons, as its priority is building a strong root system. In autumn, the feed helps young grass to anchor itself well in the soil before winter, increasing its chances of surviving frosts. In spring, on the other hand, it provides the fuel for rapid development of green mass and thickening of the new turf.

Will this new lawn feed – perfect start – Mr. Green Grass® protect my new lawn from weeds?

The fertiliser contains no herbicides, yet it is indirectly the best weapon in the fight against weeds, as it stimulates the grass to rapidly cover the ground. Strong and dense grass from the very beginning leaves no space or light for germinating weed seeds. The faster the lawn thickens thanks to New Lawn Feed – Perfect Start – Mr. Green Grass®, the fewer problems with unwanted plants you will have in the future.
