Autumn Plant Feed – Winter Hibernation – Mr. Green Grass®
Preparing your garden for winter has never been so simple and effective! Our specialised Autumn Plant Feed – Winter Hibernation – Mr. Green Grass® is the ideal solution for trees, shrubs, and plants that need extra support before the arrival of frost. Fertilising with it helps prepare plants for winter dormancy and provides them with a supply of nutrients to store, which promotes better growth in spring.
Back-to-basics – The secret to exceptional results!
Even when plants are in a dormant state and show no visible growth, they still need basic elements to survive: air, water, sunlight, and nutrients. Their roots work constantly underground, preparing them for the upcoming growing season.

How to use
How to use
Spread the fertiliser evenly around the plants using the included measuring cup or your hand.
Apply a dose suited to the plant:
- Shrubs and trees (up to 0.3 m high): 12 g (half a scoop) per plant
- Plants (0.3–1 m high): 25 g (1 scoop) per plant
- Plants (above 1 m in height): 50 g (2 scoops) per plant
- Flower beds and other group plantings: 50 g/m²
After application, gently mix the granules with the top layer of soil and water the plants generously. The fertiliser will release nutrients throughout the winter. Once this period has passed, to continue care in the new season, apply slow release plant fertiliser – Lush Garden – Mr. Green Grass®.

Frequently asked questions
We recommend starting fertilisation with Autumn Plant Feed – Winter Hibernation – Mr. Green Grass® in August or September, as the 4-month action cycle of the summer fertiliser concludes. Transitioning from Slow Release Plant Fertiliser – Lush Garden – Mr. Green Grass® to Autumn Plant Feed – Winter Hibernation – Mr. Green Grass® signals the plant to stop producing new shoots and instead focus on strengthening tissues and roots. Such a smooth dietary change ensures that plants enter dormancy in the best possible condition, without unnecessary stress.
High soil moisture in autumn is actually desirable, as it helps nutrients reach deep into the root system. The fertiliser formula has been developed so that minerals bind stably with the soil and remain available to the plant until the first hard frosts. Thanks to this, Autumn Plant Feed – Winter Hibernation – Mr. Green Grass® is not wasted during autumnal wet weather, but effectively builds your garden’s resistance from within.
Sudden drops in temperature are not an obstacle, as the fertiliser is designed specifically to harden plant cells for such conditions. The components contained in the product thicken cell sap, which protects plants against tissue damage caused by ice. Even if winter arrives early, your plants will be provided with professional protection against frost damage.
This is a deliberate action – while Slow Release Plant Fertiliser – Lush Garden – Mr. Green Grass stimultes growth in summer, Autumn Plant Feed – Winter Hibernation – Mr. Green Grass contains a negligible dose of nitrogen to avoid encouraging plants to produce new, delicate shoots. It focuses on providing potassium and phosphorus, which are responsible for lignifying stems and developing roots. Thanks to this, the plant does not waste energy on growth that would be destroyed by frost anyway, but instead prepares for a safe sleep.
Although the effects of using Autumn Plant Feed – Winter Hibernation – Mr. Green Grass® are invisible to the naked eye during winter, you will notice them instantly at the start of the next season. Plants that have survived the winter without frost damage start vegetation much faster and have more energy to build flower buds. It is thanks to this autumn support that your garden will regain its glow in March and April almost immediately after the snow melts.
