Spring Lawn Feed – Intensive Growth – Mr. Green Grass® is a professional fertiliser blend based on nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus. It stimulates grass growth and encourages tillering. Additionally, thanks to the presence of nitrogen, it intensifies the lawn’s deep, emerald colour. The phosphorus and potassium content significantly strengthens the grass’s resistance to pathogens. Furthermore, our spring fertiliser blend is environmentally friendly and safe to use.

In our Spring Lawn Feed – Intensive Growth – Mr. Green Grass® we have used advanced Enhanced GRF technology (Gradual Release Fertiliser) enabling slow release, controlled and uniform nutrient delivery at the optimal moment.
The factors determining the release rate of a consistent dose of the substance are precisely defined soil moisture and temperature. Other factors such as pH, EC or microbial activity of the substrate do not influence the process. The technology is based on a polymer coating containing nutrients inside. Water present in the soil penetrates through the semi-permeable coating into the granule, then dissolves and releases the contents contained within. Once the entire supply is exhausted, the empty coating undergoes biodegradation in the soil.
It is worth remembering that traditional fertilisers are quickly leached, which causes nutrient deficiencies at the moment when plants are growing intensively and have a higher demand for nutrients. In the case of care using Mr. Green Grass fertiliser, this problem is practically eliminated thanks to the constant supply of nutrients. Therefore, it is the innovative Enhanced GRF technology that forms the basis of the outstanding effectiveness and high performance of this fertiliser, in order to best match the nutritional needs of the grass in the period until July.
Application
Spring Lawn Feed – Intensive Growth – Mr. Green Grass® is the second stage of care. Apply it once in May or June, preferably immediately after mowing to a height of 5 cm.
Spread it evenly using a rotary spreader at a rate of 3–4 kg per 100 m² (30–40 g/m²). Note: Never spread lawn feed by hand, as this will cause uneven growth or even scorch the grass.
After application, water the lawn generously. Remember that some granules will remain visible and will gradually release nutrients. After 8 weeks, to continue care, move to stage three and apply summer lawn feed – Complete Protection – Mr. Green Grass®.

Stage 2 is usually applied from May to June, when the grass has already recovered after winter and is entering its peak growth phase. The ideal time is when temperatures have stabilised and the lawn needs extra energy to build a thick turf. The interval between stage 1 and stage 2 should be approximately 6-8 weeks, ensuring continuity in the supply of nutrients.
The product stimulates the grass to tiller vigorously, which thickens the turf, but also results in faster vertical growth. During the period of the fertiliser’s strongest effect, we recommend regular mowing at least once a week to maintain the desired height and encourage the plant to further density. Thanks to systematic trimming, the lawn will become soft and compact like a carpet.
It is best to spread the lawn feed on dry grass, just before forecast rainfall or planned watering. Avoid application during full sun and heatwaves, as high temperatures can weaken the effectiveness of nutrient uptake through the leaves. Moisture is essential for the slow release granules to start delivering energy straight to the root system.
Yes, thanks to the tillering stimulation function, Spring Lawn Feed – Intensive Growth – Mr. Green Grass® ensures that grass clumps spread sideways more quickly, naturally filling in gaps. This provides excellent support for the recovery process, especially after spring scarification. In the case of very large patches, however, it is worth combining fertilisation with overseeding using Self-Repairing Lawn Seed Mix – Patch Repair – Mr. Green Grass®.
While step 1 is designed to “wake up” the grass after winter and replenish deficiencies, step 2 focuses on building mass and intense aesthetics. It contains a different balance of ingredients that promotes a deep colour and strengthens resilience.
